The lake at Montecito is fed by the Matang Tubig ("eye of the water"), an artesian spring coming from the ridges of Tagaytay that runs through the property. Smaller lake is “utility lake”, source of water for irrigation system
Larger lake is about two hectares big, is continuously fed by fresh water from “Matang Tubig” (Artesian spring coming from the ridges of Tagaytay). Runs at a rate of 3,00 Gallons per minute –strong enough to power the mini-hydroelectric plant that lights up the main roads
